Join in the Mission

"Builders' Circle" is the new community partnership program with members of the Homebuilders’ Association of Greater Springfield and other construction-related businesses to foster affordable green building practices and support Habitat’s home construction efforts. At a time when the economy is suffering, members of Springfield’s home building industry are stepping up more than ever to help Habitat Springfield eliminate poverty housing.

In March 2011, volunteer HBA members will donate materials and professional services to build the first two (eventually six) houses in a small cul-de-sac in northwest Springfield. We’re calling the cul-de-sac “Builders’ Circle” and that is also the name of the new, on-going community partnership with local homebuilding professionals that will double the impact of Habitat’s mission in our community.

With donated building products and volunteer labor and services, HFHS and its partners can build twice as many homes. And by applying affordable green building methods, we can nearly double homeowners’ utility savings.

Community Partnership at its Best!
