2012-3

What about 2011?!

Well let’s see what was accomplished by volunteers in 2011:

  • 30,000 + hours of volunteered time between: Construction of 4 homes, the Habitat ReStore, and 27 “A Brush With Kindness”Projects.
    • 4 families now have homes – The Dickson Family, The Carpenter Family, The Barnett Family, and Estella Dudzik and Diana Archer.
    • 27 “A Brush With Kindness” Projects ranging from debris removal to porch painting to whole home painting to ramp construction.
    • The Habitat ReStore set new records for sales this year because of the volunteers who came on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to ensure customers and donors had the best possible service.
  • What do these hours mean in dollars and cents?
    • 30,000 hours x $18.57 (Click for info) = $557,100 donated to the Habitat mission to eliminate substandard housing

What about 2012?!

Well let’s see what we plan on accomplishing the first part of 2012:

    • We will need 10 volunteers per day Tuesday – Saturday 8:30-3:30 to ensure these homes will be completed!
      • Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to join us.
      • Skilled volunteers are greatly appreciated.
      • We will accept both individual and group volunteers.

  • Volunteers needed for the beginning of a GREAT Year for the ReStore!
    • The ReStore needs at least 10 volunteers per day Monday – Saturday 8:30-5:00 to ensure the ReStore can raise the maximum amount of funds to support our mission.
    • Volunteers of all skill levels are greatly appreciated.
    • We will accept both individual and group volunteers.
  • “A Brush With Kindness” Projects will be starting up again!
    • 2011 was filled with 27 projects and this year Community Development Coordinator, Trent Sims, is planning on beating that number.
