What does Building on Faith mean?

We have been called as children of God to ACT (Assume Christian Teachings) and care for our brothers and sisters in need. Since 1988 Habitat for Humanity of Springfield has embraced this calling and has helped over 470 individuals into decent and affordable homes. The question is, ‘What does Building on Faith mean?’ and for Habitat for Humanity it is calling out to our brothers and sisters of the faith community to work together and help build a home for a local family in need. Partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Springfield for this Building on Faith home includes many possible facets of generosity. Some acts of kindness include: monetary donations, volunteer time on the job site (you don’t have to be a Ty Pennington, but skills are helpful), helping feed the workers, Prayer, as well as many other aspects. Prayer is the most important of all of these aforementioned aspects because it encompasses them all. Before we can take on any one of these aspects we need to Pray and find what God’s will is for our life and how He wishes to work through us with this build. We ask that you Pray to see if God wills you to give your time with volunteerism or if His will is for monetary donation towards the building of a much needed home for a deserving family.
